How do you use a distemper test kit on a dog?
Take the secretions from the dog’s eyes, nose, and mouth and put them in the diluent, stir them evenly, and then drip them onto the canine distemper test plate with a pipette. After ten minutes, observe the test results on the test plate. If two bars appear, it means that the dog may be infected with canine distemper, and if one line appears, it means that the dog is not infected.
Secondly, the symptoms can be seen. When a dog is infected with canine distemper virus, it will show symptoms such as listlessness, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, runny nose, coughing, and increased secretions from the eyes and nose. If the dog is found to have the above symptoms, it is very likely that it has canine distemper.
